What is standard door and window hardware?

Standard door hardware includes things such as storm door catches, handles, and closers, threshold plates, bumpers, door stops, as well as hinges, pulls, and knobs. Window hardware can include everything from casement window handles and sash locks to screens and screen frame kits.

Does door and window hardware have to match?

Matching finishes and colours between your door and window hardware can create a complementary colour scheme with your decor. Mixed hardware can also create a pleasant effect, depending on how it is used.
