Is it good to wear goggles while swimming?

Wearing swimming goggles helps to protect your eyes from irritation and potential infections caused by water, chlorine, salt, debris and more. They also offer protection from the sun’s UV rays and glare.

How do you buy swimming goggles that fit?

When shopping for swimming goggles, similarly to glasses, they should sit comfortably on the bridge of your nose. Additionally, they should create a seal all the way around your eyes without any gaps or too much pressure to your eye sockets.

What should I consider when buying swimming goggles?

1. What are you using them for? Open water, indoor or outdoor swimming?

2. What are the seals made of? Are you allergic to any specific materials? (e.g., rubber, silicone, foam, plastic)

3. Do they sit comfortably on your nose and around your eyes?

4. Is the strap adjustable or appropriately sized?

5. Do you need prescription swimming glasses?
