What are water tubes?

Water tubes are inflatables, commonly donut-shaped, that are used for water tubing down rivers, floating on lakes, and more water activities. At Canadian Tire, brands including Connelly and Airhead offer water tubes in a variety of styles, including single-rider tubes, multi-rider tubes, flat deck tubes, banana tubes, ride-in tubes, ones with backrests, and ones with seats. You’ll find models in fun prints and colours to suit any preference.

How do you buy a towable tube?

When purchasing a towable tube, you’ll want to consider who is going to ride the tube and how many riders will be on it. Towable tubes differ from river float tubes as they come with effective tow systems for easy hook-ups and guards and handles for extra support. They are made to withstand fast speeds and are equipped with features that make for a safe journey on the water.

Do towable tubes come with rope?

Some towable tubes come with rope and even a full pull system that omits having to purchase these items separately. However, you can purchase sturdy tow ropes and accessories for your tube, including heavy-duty ropes, air pumps, dock lines, and more.

What are towable tubes made of?

Towable tubes are commonly made with synthetics like vinyl, neoprene, and nylon that are thick enough to withstand a lot of weight and are durable for long-term use.
