What are game and trail cameras used for?

They're used to help track wildlife wherever they're set up, letting you know what animals are present, at what times, and where. Hunters and farmers often use them to keep an eye on game, predators, and other animals.

What's the difference between a game camera and a trail camera?

There's no difference between the two terms, which both refer to automatic cameras that can easily be set up on trees and use motion sensors to take pictures whenever there is activity near them.

What should I look for when buying a game or trail camera?

You'll want to check the specifications of the camera to see if it will create images at a high enough resolution for you and have enough memory. The range of the camera and motion detector are also important, as well as the trigger speed and additional features such as videos, timestamping and burst mode. Choosing between Wi-Fi and cellular transmission is also important depending on where you'll set up cameras and whether you want to receive images wirelessly. If you’re hunting reclusive animals, camouflaged cameras may help you get a picture. Finally, for very remote cameras, you may want built-in solar panels and rechargeable battery packs.
