What do smart plugs do?

Smart plugs work like regular wall plugs but can be controlled from your phone or voice assistant, so you can turn connected appliances and lights on and off more easily, whether to reduce your electric bill or have the lights on for when you come home.

What do smart switches control?

Smart switches are much like regular light switches, in that they control lights, but since they're connected to Wi-Fi, they allow you to connect your lighting from anywhere you have an internet connection. They can also be connected to fans and other built-in appliances.

How do I control smart lights?

Smart lights can be controlled from your smartphone, tablet, or voice assistant.

Do I need smart plugs or smart light switches for smart light bulbs?

Most smart light bulbs can be controlled from your phone without needing smart switches or plugs. Smart switches and plugs let you control normal lighting and appliances from devices.

Additional information for residents of Quebec only: The regular annual rate for persons applying for the Triangle Mastercard and the Triangle World Elite Mastercard is 21.99% for cash transactions and related fees and 21.99% for all other charges. Some applicants may receive a higher or lower regular annual rate depending on a credit evaluation. The minimum payment is the sum of (a) the greater of: (i) interest and fees shown on your statement + $10; or (ii) 5% of the New Balance, excluding amounts on special payment plans, (b) any balance over your credit limit, (c) any amounts past due not included in (b) above, and (d) the amount of any equal payments plan instalments then due.
