Poor design

One of the worst installation designs if not the worst. To install the unit you need to strip the wires back at minimum of an inch and then make sure that that is in all the way otherwise they will not hold. The ground is in the front and not recessed so when you put it in the box the screw is tight against the box and is a major resistance to install the unit. This is not my first rodeo and there are others in the market place which I am sure can't be worse.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Electrical connections are unsafe.

The device is so huge that the ground screw sticking out makes it too large to fit in a single gang electrical box. The screws securing the hot and neutral wires do not hold the wires, they fell out when I was trying to stuff the too large device into the electrical box. Returned.
No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This outlet is easy to install as long as you are a little familiar with wiring and connecting. Downloading the app and following the setup was also easy. I like that it has 2 USB ports and can hold 2 other electronic devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading the instructions, which was more for using the app setup, I plugged in the GEENI outlet and that was it. I've had the extension cord under my bed for months to accommodate the lamp on my nightstand, cell phone, purifier, etc. No more ugly cords and I couldn't be happier with being able to utilize what I need all in one place.
Yes, I recommend this product.
