From demolition to renovation, and much more, a trusty wrecking or pry bar is a useful hand tool to have. Our selection covers a wide range of sizes, and includes wrecking and pry bar sets, so you always have the right tool for the job.
What size pry bar do I need?
Smaller pry bars are great for detail work that needs finesse, like prying moulding or trim off walls during renovation. Large wrecking and pry bars offer a lot of leverage for separating stubborn objects but are more likely to scuff or break surfaces.
When to use a wrecking/pry bar?
Generally, wrecking and pry bars are used to separate and break up wood items like skids, and to open crates and other heavy packaging. They can also be used to separate other items or create leverage to move objects. Most wrecking bars will have a chisel end that's best for leverage, and a split nail claw end that's good for pulling nails.
