What are galvanized pipes and fittings?

Galvanized fittings and pipes are typically made of steel or iron which is then coated with a layer of protective zinc. The advantage of galvanized steel is that the zinc layer helps to prevent rust.

How do you connect galvanized pipe?

Most galvanized pipe is threaded so that it can be fitted together and installed easily.

What lengths do galvanized pipe come in?

Galvanized pipe can come in a variety of lengths depending on the manufacturer and part, with 24 inches being the longest length standard pipe we offer. In terms of diameter, most galvanized pipe is either 1/2 or 3/4 inch, though less-common diameters like 1/4 inch are also available.
