What are the pros and cons of window tint for cars?

Tinting your car windows has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that it offers more privacy, keeps your car cooler in the summer like built-in car window shades & visors and protects you from UV rays.

The disadvantages are that tinted windows can reduce your nighttime visibility, and there’s a limit to how dark your windows can be. Depending on the province you live in, there are different levels of tint that your windows can legally have. In almost every province, however, car windshield tint is illegal, and it is also illegal to tint the front passenger window.

What should I look for when buying car window tint?

When buying a car window tint, the first thing to look for is the tint level. Make sure you’re getting a tint that won’t exceed the amount you are legally allowed to have. You should also make sure you get the proper size for your windows. If you have an SUV or truck, purchase a tint for an SUV or truck. If you are tinting your rear windows, you will need to get rear window tint.

Can I tint the windows on my car myself?

You can tint your car windows by carefully using the proper tools. To successfully tint your windows yourself, you will need a proper application solution, a squeegee, and a lint-free cloth. Glass cleaners are also recommended to ensure the tint is applied to a spotless window.
