What are the benefits of painting and sealing a garage floor?

The main advantage is that your floor will be protected from damage and will last much longer. Garage floor sealers and paint will also prevent stains from oil and most liquids and tire tracks, and form a layer that protects concrete from getting chipped or cracked.

How do you seal an old concrete garage floor?

You will need to clean the surface and remove flakes, then use concrete repair mixtures to restore damaged surfaces. Let any new concrete cure fully before applying paint and sealer. You may want to apply a concrete preparation liquid to ensure the floor is properly cleaned and ready to be sealed.

Do you need to seal a garage floor before painting?

Sealing concrete floors is a good way to protect them from moisture, plus it adds a layer that acts as a primer when you paint, enhancing the appearance and durability of the paint layer.
