What is stop leak used for?

Stop leak is designed to temporarily seal or mitigate leaks in various vehicle systems, including the engine, radiator, transmission, and more. Note that stop leaks are intended as a temporary solution and are not a substitute for proper repairs.

Should I use stop leak for my engine?

Engine stop leaks are typically used as a temporary solution to address minor oil leaks or seepage from gaskets and seals. For example, if you notice minor oil seepage around gaskets or seals in your engine, stop leaks can help temporarily reduce or stop the leak. Stop leak products should be viewed as a short-term fix to manage a minor leak, but they will not replace the need for proper repairs.
