Product Details

Older vehicles can develop leaks in their radiators and intake manifolds. If you’ve tried other stop leak products you know they are not powerful enough to stop larger leaks. That’s why Rislone designed this specific formulation. This one-step sealer was designed to quickly and safely stop these types of leaks. Our formula permanently repairs larger leaks in radiators, intake manifolds and gaskets, heater cores, blocks, heads and freeze plugs. It contains an antifreeze-compatible sodium silicate liquid glass formula, so no draining of the cooling system is required. It also will not harm the system when used properly.Other products can’t get your vehicle back on the road like Rislone — that’s why we’ve been the most trusted brand since 1921.

IT DID WORK WOW!!! 😊

IT WORKS! It did stop leaking on the radiator, had many small leaks, my advice is too pour only the half or even a less first since this can clogged up your heater core, it did clogged mine for awhile blowing cold air in the cabin but later on after driving and turning alot, hot air started coming and no more clogged heater core, but the leak wasn't completely off, it was better than before though, next day pour a bit more with 1/4 left, and the leaks were completely gone! The whole bottle can treat up to 23L, my cooling system is around 7L, 3/4 of the bottle was more than enough and can be a permanent fix, this was on a MAZDA TRIBUTE 2011, thanks CT 😊

Blocked everything

Used in a well maintained 2018 F150 that had mystery coolant loss. Completely blocked my heater core and now my engine randomly overheats before returning to operating temperature. Will have to have the system flushed once again now and hopefully get it all cleared out.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

Q: Is this good for leaky lower hose connection due to worn O ring?

2 Answers
  • A: I’m not sure if it will adhere to rubber. Because it doesn’t seem to block hoses or heater cores. I used it in my combine rad. It has been in there for two years. My rad is rotten from age and this product  has stopped the leak for now

Q: I have a 2014 ford explorer do I pour this into the coolant fill for head gasket leak and or oil in exhaust. Lots of white smoke when I start vehicle.

  • A: Hi, so first of all, this is not for the head gasket, there is another product for that. Second, it must go in the coulant and preferably in the radiator. And I suggest to change the spark plugs too… to give you the best chances for it to work. Third, car needs to be cold to start this process.. and need to top it up with regular coolant. Then let it run with the product in it for 30 minutes just at idle, and for it to work properly, you need to let it cool down for 24 to 48h. Forth, top it up with regular coolant and try it out slowly, sometimes I found that this process needs to be repeated. ( not the sparks plugs) good luck with it

Q: I have a small leak in my water pump, but can't afford to get it fixed until the end of the month, due to my budget! Will it help stop the leak in the water pump without doing any damage?

2 Answers
  • A: Hi E.T Bouman, This depends on what is leaking on the water pump. This depends on what is leaking on the water pump. If it is the gasket, yes the Rislone Liquid Copper can help with a gasket leak. If the pump seal is leaking coolant this won't help. The product is safe to use in clean cooling system per the directions and proper dosage. If you have not used a radiator flush product in the past 4 years we would recommend doing that first. With a clean system we have the best chance to help.

Q: I have a '99 2.4L Chevy Cavalier and I think there's leak in the engine coolant system. Can this be used together with Dex Cool Antifreeze+coolant in my car's cooling system? If yes, how much of the 510g bottle should I put into my cooling system?

1 Answer
  • A: Make sure the leak is a blown head gasket. This WILL NOT fix a leaking hose, or a Heater Core. This is a block sealant, and *IF* you decide that down the road you want to fix the engine, GOOD LUCK in doing so, after pouring this into the system, it makes taking a part the engine difficult, and turns a cheap easy repair into an expensive and difficult repair. I used it on a cracked block, and it didn't fix the problem, it did make the problem worse, and I ended up scrapping the car all together.

Q: my radiator is still leaking I can introduce another bottle to the radiator

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your question. In some instances more time may be needed to completely seal a leak. If the leak is not sealed within a few days of driving, you could try a second application but would need to flush the cooling system first. If we can provide any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to email or contact us at 800-345-6572. We can be reached M-F, from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time.

Q: Will this product affect the performance of the cooling system ? For instance , gumming up etc .

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, the product P/N 31109 Rislone Liquid Copper Block Seal Intake & Radiator Stop Leak is safe to use without causing gelling or any coolant issues if installed per the directions, proper dosage and in a clean cooling system. Install this product when the engine is cool into the radiator if you have a cap on the radiator, if there is no cap on the radiator it can be installed in the reservoir. If the radiator/reservoir is too full to add the proper dosage you can do one of two things. • Drain some coolant out from the radiator. • Or use a turkey baster which most customers think is easier to remove some coolant to make room for the product. If you have not used a chemical cooling system flush product in the past four years you would want to consider doing so, flushing with water will remove loose sediment, but if any scale is building up in the system it needs to be dissolved chemically then flushed. With a clean system we have the best chance to help you. If you have any other questions, or we can provide any additional assistance, please feel free to respond to this email or call the Tech Support team at 1-800-345-6572, available to assist you Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm Eastern time.
