What are the different types of bungee cords?

The most common type of bungee cord has a rubber core with a fabric jacket and metal hooks on each end. Rubber bungee cords are similar but lack the fabric jacket. Flat bungee straps can fit more snugly on surfaces and provide extra surface area for holding down tarps and other coverings.

Can you fix a broken bungee cord?
