Must have to increase points of securement with minimal effort.

Drilled holes in several of these because I did not have bolts. I used six #6 self tapping screws which I had on hand ( travelling abroad ) into the bed of my truck. Travelled 2900km with a mattress, desk, cardboard and plastic boxes fastened with ratchet straps and even with heavy braking and driving over washboard and potholes, the brackets kept everything secure. Easily mounted and it collapses away to mitigate pressure points on cargo when not in use. Simple and strong.

I love smart strap but I'm very disappointed with these. In the center of the dring where they are welded, the weld sticks upway to much and won't allow it to pivot. Have 4 and all 4 are the same way. Need them for a trip tomorrow so no time to return them. With grinding the weld all the zinc coating is gone so now they will rust
No, I do not recommend this product.
