What's the difference between HDTV, VHF, and UHF TV antennas?

HDTV, VHF and UHF TV antennas are all designed to receive television signals, but they operate on different frequency bands.

VHF TV antennas are designed to capture television signals specifically in the VHF frequency range. While most digital TV channels are now in the UHF band, some broadcasters still use VHF frequencies for specific channels or regions. HDTV antennas are designed to receive digital high-definition signals over-the-air and can cover the entire range of digital TV broadcasts, including VHF and UHF.

What's the difference between indoor and outdoor TV antennas?

As suggested by their names, indoor antennas are designed to be placed inside your home, while outdoor antennas are installed outside the building, typically on the roof or an exterior wall. Indoor antennas can pick up channels from broadcast stations within a 20 to 30-mile radius. If you live in the suburbs or a slightly more rural area, it might be worthwhile to invest in an outdoor antenna to ensure uninterrupted TV signals.

Which antenna is compatible with my TV?

TV antennas are generally compatible with all modern TVs with a ATSC turner, which allows them to receive broadcast signals. To ensure the TV antenna is powerful enough, check your proximity to local broadcast towers to ensure an uninterrupted signal.
