Choosing the right car seat is an essential part of keeping your child safe and comfortable on every drive. Explore our range of convertible and all-in-one car seats, designed to support rear-facing and forward-facing stages as your child grows, while meeting trusted safety standards.
Types of car seats explained
Rear Facing Car Seats
Designed for infants and young toddlers, this option offers the highest level of protection by supporting the head, neck and spine during a collision. Installed facing the back of the vehicle, it is recommended for as long as possible.
Forward Facing Car Seats
Once a child outgrows rear-facing limits, this next stage positions them toward the front of the vehicle. A built-in five-point harness helps provide stability, safety and comfort for growing toddlers and young children.
Convertible Car Seats
Built to accommodate multiple stages, this versatile option transitions from rear-facing to forward-facing as your child grows. It offers extended usability, flexible installation options and long-term value without requiring an early upgrade.
All-in-One Car Seats (3-in-1 & 4-in-1)
This all-in-one solution adapts through several growth stages—from rear-facing to forward-facing and booster modes. Available in 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 designs, it delivers maximum longevity and convenience in a single seat.
What is the difference between a convertible car seat and an all-in-one?
A convertible car seat travels both rear and forward facing and it is designed for a safe and secure ride from newborn to child through to 6 years old (depending on the brand’s weight and height limits).
All-in-one car seats or 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 seats are similar to convertible car seats, but they can be used longer because it serves multiple stages. They’re also designed to be rear and forward-facing, but additionally, they can be converted into a booster seat.
What age do you switch to a convertible car seat?
It is required by law that newborns and infants should ride in a rear-facing car seat to protect and support their necks and backs. When your child can be positioned front facing (according to weight requirements), a convertible car seat may be turned to fit that position and direction.
Are convertible car seats more cost-effective than buying separate rear-facing and forward-facing car seats?
Yes. Convertible car seats cover multiple stages in one design, helping reduce the need to purchase separate seats as your child grows.
What should I look for when buying a convertible car seat?
Look for a seat that meets safety standards, fits your vehicle, and offers suitable weight and height limits. Easy installation, adjustable harnesses, and comfort features are also important.
How long can a child use a convertible car seat before needing to upgrade?
Most children can use a convertible car seat from infancy up to about 5 or 6 years old, depending on the seat’s size limits and the child’s growth.
