What is a flush valve used for?

Flush valves guide water out of the tank and into the toilet bowl when the lever is used. Flush valves are an alternative to toilet flappers in some types of toilets.

How do I know what size toilet flush valve I need?

Toilets usually have a 2 or 3-inch drain hole, which the flush valve needs to match. You can drain the toilet and shut off the water supply, then measure it, or check your toilet's user manual for the specifications.

Are toilet flush valves universal?

Some flush valves are designed for a universal fit, but it's important to match them to the drain diameter of the toilet for a proper fit.

Can you repair a toilet flush valve?

If a toilet flush valve is leaking, you will know it's time to repair or replace because your toilet will constantly be filling with water that will drain into the bowl. Parts like flush valve seals, washers, and gaskets can be used to easily repair a flush valve.
