What is the purpose of a range hood?

A range hood pulls in air and filters out smoke from cooking and vents it out of your home. Range hoods typically have multiple speed settings for fans, and some may have built in lighting, making them useful additions to any kitchen.

What accessories are needed for a range hood?

Filters and spare filters are useful for range hoods and necessary for some models to work.

Do range hoods have to be vented outside?

Range hoods don't have to be ducted to vent outside. Some models pull air through filters to remove odors.

How often should you change your range hood filter?

Depending on how much you cook, you may want to change your range hood filter as often as every 1 to 3 months. If you cook less often, changing the filter twice a year is a good rule of thumb.
