Are baby car seat covers worth it?

Baby car seat covers can keep your child warm and they also provide protection from the elements. It’s an alternative to wearing thick winter coats while in the vehicle, which is strongly advised against because they may compromise car seat safety as advised by Transport Canada. Choose a baby car seat cover that is approved by your child’s car seat manufacturer.

What accessories are safe for your child’s car seat?

It’s important to check your car seat’s manual instructions as some aftermarket accessories such as harness strap covers, head rests and infant support inserts are not permitted for some seats. Use accessories that are specifically recommended by your car seat manufacturer.
