Do ice scrapers scratch your windows?

Ice scrapers are designated for use on cars, so they are generally safe to use on windows and the body of your car. It is best to avoid any metal materials and stick to lightweight, plastic scrapers. Metal tools may chip the paint off your car or create deep scratches in glass while plastic scrapers are designed to remove ice effectively and gently. If the ice is too thick or tough, simply run your vehicle on defrost for a few minutes to warm it up and make removal easier.
