If you lack garage space or just want to add an extra layer of protection, a snowmobile cover gets the job done. They are designed with water and UV resistant material to protect your snowmobile from weather damage and corrosion. Some covers also include air vents to reduce moisture buildup while in storage.

What Size Snowmobile Cover Do You Buy?

At Canadian Tire, our snowmobile covers come in different sizes, typically medium, large and extra large. It’s important to properly measure your snowmobile to make sure you get the right fit. The wrong sized cover may not work as effectively and can leave your snowmobile exposed to the elements.

If you want complete coverage including the skis, then measure from the front of the skis all the way to end of the vehicle. If you only want to cover the body of your snowmobile, then measure from the front bumper to the rear of the seat. Compare your measurements with manufacturer guides so that you get a proper-fitting cover. With the right size, there shouldn’t be any exposed areas or excess material.

Once you have the right cover, putting in on your snowmobile shouldn’t be difficult. There are different ways you can put on a snowmobile cover. Some covers come with an elastic chord, while others come with straps and buckles that you tie underneath or alongside your vehicle.
