Are GPS watches good for hiking?

GPS watches are an excellent tool for hiking, camping, trail running and more. Most models offer excellent navigation features like satellite tracking and route planning, as well as top fitness features like heartrate and calorie monitoring. Further, most GPS watches boast reliable battery life for those longer adventures, which also make them great safety tools.

Do GPS watches work in the woods?

Yes. GPS watches function well in remote areas such as the wilderness and similar locales, as they can accurately pinpoint your location by continuously sending and receiving signals from orbiting satellites. Keep in mind that terrain with abundant tree cover may make your GPS data somewhat less accurate.
