Benefits of a Micro Drip Irrigation System

Micro irrigation systems are a great way to automate watering so your plants get the water they need on schedule. There are many benefits to these systems including economical and environmental factors.

· Reduced water usage – By directly dripping small amounts of water to the root of the plant, there is a lot less water wasted on areas of the soil and plant that don’t require watering.

· Healthier plants – With micro irrigation, each plant is given the TLC they deserve with low-pressure and individual watering. This also means no overwatering or wet leaves which helps prevent fungus, weeds, nutrient runoff, and soil erosion.

· Effective watering – Being able to bend tubes and shape them in different directions as well as place spray nozzles where you want, these watering systems can be configurated as you need to and are also hidden from the eye.

What is a micro drip irrigation?

Micro drip irrigation is an easy way to water your garden efficiently and increase crop yield. Using tubing and small sprinklers, this system uses less water but more strategically releases the water where it needs to go. Especially in hot weather, having micro drip tubing and sprayers deliver water right to the roots of your plants is useful and convenient.

Is micro irrigation the same as drip irrigation?

Micro and drip irrigation are similar systems, where they provide holes or spray nozzles to water a specific plant at a designated location. While drip irrigation involves a tube with holes at set intervals, micro irrigation involves a delivery tube with small spray nozzles you can position wherever you need to.

What are the components required for a drip irrigation system?

There are six major components of a drip irrigation system, including the water delivery system, the filters, the pressure regulators, valves and gauges, chemical injectors, and the system controller. All these components come together to ensure that your plants are being watered carefully and as expected.
