Possible mislabeled as a wifi extender

I didn't find that this extended the wifi at all. I even moved my router to be closer to where I had full connectivity on my mobile device and this would continuously lose connection to wifi so anything on a scheduled cycle would no longer function on the settings I chose. When it was connected, it did work as intended except for extending wifi range.

Q: Most single smart plugs have a physical overide button that allows manual operation, this unit doesn't appear to have them. Can outlets only be operated via wi-fi?
