I apologize for the difficulties you encountered during the installation of the GARRISON Electronic Round Keypad Deadbolt Door Lock, Matte Black. To ensure a smoother installation, please follow these steps carefully:
1. **Mark the Door with the Template**: Select the height and backset on the door face and use the template provided to mark the center of the circle on the door face and the center of the door edge.
2. **Drill Holes**: Using the marks as a guide, drill a hole with a diameter of 2 1/8" (54 mm) through the door face and a hole of 1" (25.4 mm) for the latch on the door edge.
3. **Install the Latch**: Insert the latch and ensure it is parallel to the door face.
4. **Install the Exterior Assembly**: Place the cylinder into the deadbolt keypad assembly with the tailpiece in a horizontal position inserted through the hub of the latch. Pass the IC wire under the latch to the interior side of the door.
5. **Install the Mounting Plate**: Pass the IC wire through the wire hole of the mounting plate and fix the plate with screws.
6. **Adjust the Thumb Turn Piece**: Rotate the thumb turn piece 45 degrees to the left for right-handed doors or 45 degrees to the right for left-handed doors.
7. **Install the Receiver Module**: Remove the battery cover, insert 4 AA 1.5V alkaline batteries, and connect the IC wire to the back of the receiver module. Attach the receiver module to the door with screws.

Very hard to program So I thought maybe faulty took it back got another one but no luck so returned it got a different brand that I had used before at my previous home and set up no problem Also 2 numbers on the same button is confusing 🫤

A: Auto-Lock On Please refer to below step by entering the passcode, click lock/unlock button, click number 1 for twice and then final click lock/unlock button again. Note that the auto-lock delay time is 30 seconds. After the 30 seconds, then auto-lock function will be activated. Auto-Lock Off Do the same step, then the function will be off.

Q: Does this product have a re-key kit? This is for changing the key so the old key cannot be used. This is a methid used for rental properties.

A: Please see the installation sheet programing set up for reference. With first step of set up which is enable for electronic lock to identify the door handle direction. Without this step, it will not work. Step 1: Handling Identification process 1. Enter program code (PC) 0000 2. Then click the unlock/lock button, 0, unlock/lock button 3. Now, you can lock the door by enter pre-set up password (use code) 1234 Step 2: create you new user code (passcode) 1. Enter PC (0000) 2. Press unlock/lock button 3. Press the 1/2 button 4. Press the unlock/lock button 5. Enter new UC (user code) 6. Press the unlock/lock button
