Q: Can the dead bolt be locked without the CODE .
3 years agoA: Yes, this lock can be locked by pressing the Schlage button at the top of the keypad and then turning the bolt into the locked position.

Q: Regarding the Schlage Camelot keypad deadbolt door handle, where does the battery go and is the compartment easy to open and close? Would I need some sort of tool to open the compartment?
4 years agoA: The batteries are under the plate on the inside of the door (so they are kept warmer and not exposed to the elements). Batteries are installed/replaced simply by removing the inside cover with a screwdriver. No special tools.
