Terrible warranty

Do not get fooled by the lifetime warranty, no matter what you say it will always be the fault of the electronics. I had three locks getting stuck in the middle (mechanical problem), but they claimed that my model was too old (2008) and that they can not do anything Also, if the numbers on the keypad get erased by use they won't replace the plastic behind it, they will blame it on tear and wear and not under finish.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Interchangeable parts with another model

Bought it to replace a different Weiser deadbolt from about 12 years ago. This one is a nice change from the older ones.... most of the parts are interchangeable between both models, which was a nice feature.

Hello toomanydogs, We're happy to help! To fix this, please try the following steps: 1. Open the door, place the latch in the locked position, and remove the key. Unscrew and remove the interior assembly of the lock and check that the flat blade is vertical. 2. Keep the latch locked and reattach the interior assembly, ensure the turn piece is also vertical. Please make sure not to overtighten the mounting screws. They can be snug but not too tight. 3. Try a new set of batteries, factory reset the lock and complete the door rehanding step. 4. Add a new user code and test the lock. A: This model uses 4 AA 6V alkaline batteries with approximately 1-year battery life depending on usage. The exterior keypad will also flash red 10 times with 10 beeps for low battery alert.
