Thank you for choosing the BFGoodrich Trail‑Terrain T/A and sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the vibrating buzz. Please visit an authorized dealer for a full inspection. They can confirm proper load fitment, check bead seating and verify balance. If you’d like to discuss further, call Consumer Care at 866‑866‑6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST; Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Durability for rough roads and a lot of miles

Living in the mountains on a somewhat rocky dirt road necessitates a solid tire. I recently replaced my 2015 Outback that had 200k miles, with a new, used Outback Wilderness. It came with brand new 3 peak rated tires, but they just looked too much like a tire that lives on paved roads, so I chose to have my fairly used, over 34k mile, Trail-Terrain tires transferred to the new car instead of the brand new tires. The Trail-Terrain tires are looking way better at this milage than previous brands I've had. They have the right amount of off road ability that I need, and have the 3 peak rating, although there is no driving up my steep dirt road when there is snow. They now have 40k miles on them and I am amazed at the longevity compared to others in the class that I've had.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Are these 6 ply tires? BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A Tire

    2 Answers
    • A: Hello! These tires do not have a “ply” reference like some LT tires. It refers to an old way to manufacturing tires – number of plies when the tire were bias. Now as radial tire, you should refer to the load index – ISO international – for each tire. The load index for this tire is 108. The load index refers to a specific maximum load the tire can support at its maximum inflation pressure.

    Q: Is it a 10 ply tire

    1 Answer
    • A: Thank you for your question! The Trail-Terrain T/A has 55 sizes. Each one has a different load capacity. The 10 ply designation refers to a certain load capacity but it will depend on the sizes. 10 ply designation on the tire is LRE. The Trail-Terrain T/A has no such designation but many has XL extra load designation. The best is to verify the load capacity required for your vehicle and compare to the load capacity of the tire. Hope this helps!
