The best drainage products and sink repair parts

What sink parts most commonly need repair?

Most drainage parts are durable and dependable, but built-in stoppers might need repair or replacement if their linkage becomes loose or unreliable. Side sprayers more commonly need repair if they get clogged or when parts wear out.

What are the different types of sink stoppers?

There are two main types of stoppers. The classic removable drain stopper is usually made of rubber and is put in place by hand. A pop out plug is built into the drain and connected to a control handle on the faucet with a mechanical linkage.

Are sink drain stoppers universal?

Drain stoppers are not universal, as there are a range of drain sizes that can vary greatly. Kitchen sink drains tend to be wider than bathtub or lavatory sink drains, so getting the right size of stopper is important.
