Quality tire, good choice for car and CUV

This is my third set of this tire, my fourth Continental winter tire purchase. I expect these to be good for icy conditions and extreme cold on clear pavement (Manitoba winter). Tire wear rate has been good previously.

Stocked quantity was 4 on website. Ordered and paid, next day received a call only 3 were found. Ordered 1, (3 ordered from a different location), came to pick up, had to wait for a very long time and watch depressed and listen to cooments like "I guess I am the only one here" to get the tire for me.

Q: Can I use the same rims for summer tires

2 Answers
  • A: You can if you use the same size tire for winter, I chose to go down from 19" summer to a 17" winter tire I just find it cheaper for me to buy winter rims and have the winter tire installed on them, I don't want salt chewing up my summer rims, and the cost of having them taken off, balanced every time (winter tires for me last 4 years and it's about the same cost of buying the rims) but it's up to you, but yes if you're using the same size for your winter tires as summer tires, you can use the same rim these tires were awesome last winter, my best winter tire purchase so far, and I'm over 50

  • A: I think 80,000 miles are there from the very first day and today you saying it’s a mistake? Think about those people who bought these because of that, unreal

Q: The spec of the tires in my car shows 225/60 R17, does this tire fit? If I am going to buy separate set of wheels for this tire, what is the wheel size?

2 Answers
  • A: Your wheel size would be the 17 of the R17. If you need to buy another set of wheels (rims actually) they need to be 17 inch. But not all 17 inch rims are the same as the depth may be different from one vehicle model to another. Check with Canadian Tire and give them your make and model for the correct rims.
