Lasted one week shy of a year

Got it for my birthday last October and for the past 4 months it has been acting up. Will grind but won't brew or heat the plate. Would work after being unplugged for a while but has completely stopped now. Expensive, junk.

Worked for about a month

For some reason the hatch seems to close and barely let's any coffee into the filter. I cleaned it out yesterday, forced the hatch open but when it starts to grind it closes up again and won't let coffee fall into the basket. I will be returning this.

Working very well so far

I have been using this for just over a week now, and have no complaints yet. Unlike some other purchasers, I have no issues with my unit starting, and the auto brew function is working great. My only worry is that I like a dark roast and the beans are oily, and the instructions for this unit specifically say not to use oily beans. i’m not sure what the point is of a coffee maker that won’t let you use a dark roast… I haven’t had issues so far, so I’m hoping that is a precautionary warning.

Don't buy this

I bought this unit today. It wouldn't brew. The instructions said to run water through it first. I pressed grind off as recommended and nothing happened. Returned the unit and exchanged for another unit. The same thing happened. It doesn't work.

Q: Do you have to add the correct amount of beans before you make the coffee or can you dump a whole lot of beans in and tell it how many beans to grind for the cups you have selected? thanks!

A: It has the Small Batch brewing feature and based on how many cups you have selected from the program and the strength of the coffee, it will automatically take the amount of coffee beans from the bean hopper and serve the coffee.
