What are diamond saw blades used for?

Diamond saw blades are used with circular saws, tile saws, and other saw types to make clean cuts in brick, concrete, stone, glass, and drywall. Their cutting segment is not designed to be used for materials such as wood and metal.

Do diamond blades have real diamonds?

Diamond blades are largely made of strong steel and have synthetic diamond particles dispersed throughout the cutting edges. Synthetic diamonds are created to be durable and cleanly pierce through masonry work pieces without damaging the blade.

Which diamond blade is the best?

The requirements of your project will help you determine the best diamond blade for the job. Segmented diamond blades, also known as dry cutting blades, have gaps between teeth and are best used for hard masonry projects due to their durability when used on concrete and asphalt. Continuous rim diamond blades can be used for dry cutting and wet cutting, and can make fine cuts in tiles, building materials, and other softer materials when compared to segmented diamond blades. Triple chip saw blades can be used with circular saws and are also used for hard materials like tile and cement.
