Great skates at this price point

Not a true hockey skate but good enough for my son's house league. Provides decent protection and ankle support. Well made product, easy for him to lace on and off without assistance. Velcro strap at the top is a great place to tuck away the loose ends. Hopefully will serve him will until it's time to move up a size.

I bought these skates for my teenage daughter to use for outdoor, recreational skating. She likes that they have a hockey-style blade, but with a warm, padded, easy-to-lace boot. She says they’re comfortable and they keep her feet warmer than traditional hockey skates.

Q: CT Team, why do you keep telling people that it fits 1.5sizes lower and have a size chart stating that when almost every reviewer says it fits true to show size (i.e not sized like hockey skates)

A: We are working with the vendor to determine exactly what the sizing should be. They have stated a 1.5 size difference in their specs, but we are confirming with what was actually made.

A: I know most skates run a size large but I found these to be true to sneaker size. I typically wear a woman's size 10.5 to 11 or men's size 9 and the size 9 in these fit perfectly with a tiny bit of toe room for comfort and a warmer sock if need be. I hate the laces though. Spend 5 bucks and buy hockey laces.

Q: Why is it so hard for CT to provide a proper sizing recommendation? Posting a Bauer size chart for hockey skates isn't helping anyone. And giving the generic "hockey skates are X smaller" isn't helping either.

A: Generally, the rule of thumb for women is to order skates that are 3 sizes down from your normal shoe size as these skates are listed in men's sizes.

A: Generally, the rule of thumb for men is to order skates that are 1.5 sizes smaller than your shoe size. In your case I would recommend choosing size 9.
