Product Details

Fill it up, let it freeze, and get ready to skate with the VIC 10 x 30' Reddi-Rink EZ Freeze Ice Rink Kit. This extra-large “rink in a bag” is a cinch to set up in your yard, on concrete, or in nearby fields. Simply find a level surface area and connect a hose to get it started. The kit consists of fully enclosed flexible polyethylene in the shape of a rink, designed to hold 2-3” of water in place until it freezes solid. The top layer simply peels off once it’s done to reveal a smooth skating surface. The water is completely contained until frozen, so there won’t be any runoff or a need for repetitive flooding to build up a base. Simply spray the rink with water every now and then to keep the surface smooth.

facile a utiliser.. lors de l'installer s'assurer qu'il na pas de vent, que la bache est etanche sans plis et un sol bien droit. La remplir ma pris environ 2:30 a 3:00 avec un boyau d'un diametre de 1.5 pouce. Pour un gel complet. J'ai attendu 3 jours consécutifs sans rien toucher. J'ai fait un test avec un pied et il y a une parti qui c'est affaisser avec mon poid (réparable avec de mince couche d'eau sans probleme). Malheureusement, la meteo ma jouer des tours et il a eu un redoux avec plus de 20 mm de pluie et des température de 10 degree. Voir photo, désastre total... Il a fallu que j'attendre que le tout gel de nouveau. C'est ce que je déplore de ce genre de systeme. Avec un redoux comme j'ai eu, cela a causer beaucoup de probleme et de temps pour revenir a une glace presque normal. Après plusieurs mini couche de soir et de nuit et pendant pres de 1 semaines a tous les jours sans arrets. j'ai réussi a la sauver a 95%. je suis presque rendu a la finition apres avoir mis quelque couche mince encore pour les parties les plus sensible. En résumé, avant d'enlever le dessus, assurer vous que le temps froid est bien installer et pour y rester. Remplir en 2 occasion. Pas en 1 seule fois, sa permet a la base de bien se solidier.

Either defective or just plain bad

This idea behind this kit is brilliant. The execution wasn't. The material is too thin. I'm quite certain, I received a defective product, but mine leaked from numerous spots. Despite having fairly level ground, it needs to be perfectly level to actually work. The 10x30 size also awkwardly narrow. As you start to fill the product, you also lose some width. Given the amount of issues with the product, I wouldn't ever buy it again. A white tarp would do a better job.

Q: Can it be used on a 7 inch grade?

A: For best results, the location should be as level as possible. If one end is 7 inches lower than the other, water may collect in one spot and not fill in another. The grade should be corrected first by building up the lower areas.
