Really Great Tire

I have had these tires for 10 years on My Dodge Ram 1500. 245/74/r16. I have put 115000 Kms on them with never a blow out or any failure. i do load my truck up with lots of wieght but not everyday . i have to say for normal driving in the city and some off roading these are vey durable and solid tires They are an all around good tire especially for city driving. Smooth driving and quite They are very good in rain. Not the tightest tire around but i have never lost control on corners or in rain and i drive aggressively. I have had them in lots of fields. Ok in winter and in mud but not their strength. although I have used them for over 10 years in winter. Now the tread is down to 5/32 so I will use snow tires For the money they are not considered a premimium tire however they are a great tire for the money and last a long time with very little degrading over the years. I must say these are very good tires for light truck or suv . Frank

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fairly new purchase, good impressions so far...JW.

I have had these tires on my 95 Chevy Astro now for 3 months with about 6000 Kms on them. They are now broken in nicely and handle much better than the Michelin X passenger tires which were installed by previous owner! No more feeling like I am driving a bowl of Jello! Mileage has dropped by about 10% because of the stiffer side walls but may improve with some more use hopefully. Rolling resistance of these tires is not as well rated as Michelin truck tires but they are no longer made in the 215-75-15 size by Michelin. Will report in later.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Tires--THEY WORK GREAT

On my Ford for over a year. After researching different brands of tires for my 04 Explorer XLT 4WD. I found out that there were only 3 tires that would work on this truck without fear of twisting out my transpher case. The manufacturer only recomends a 29" tall tire and Michelin, B.F. Goodrich and Uniroyal only make this tire height. The truck came with Micheline Cross Terrain from the factory and these ( Uniroyal ) were sold at CDN Tire. They work as well or better then the Micelins that cost almost twice as much. After one year and 45000km they show no wear, roll great and I would recomend them to anyone. Even in the ice and snow they are as good or better then the O.E.M. tires. Just because they are the least expensive brand name truck tire CDN Tire sells dosen't mean they are not any good. THEY WORK GREAT Think about these befor you lay down twice as much as should be spent. They look like they come out of the same factory as the B.F.G. & Michelin tires ( all the same corp.) ****If you do chose a different height tire then make sure you change your full size spare as well, as it will be a different height and will cause problems in you need to put the spare tire on if one lets go.****

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: when max. P.S.I states 44---in the summer; what should you inflate the tires (when there's swelling with the rubber in the heat of summer)?

1 Answer
  • A: The recommended inflation pressure is set by the vehicle manufacturer not the tire manufacturer. Please refer to your owner’s manual or vehicle placard for more information.
