Great for sharpening but not sure about the ceramic on it.

Since I've bought it, I have used it more than the previous hand held sharpener from this brand. It's compact, precise, and easy to use. Wish I had more knives to sharpen. However, I'm not sure if I'm using the ceramic right. I pull the blade through one way and use light force at 90° and it seems to dull it. Again, maybe it's me but for the meantime, I'll just use a ceramic block to smooth out the blade.

I bought this because I had the other Master Chef handle model but I miss placed, So I ordered this one and the lost one will show up. Murphys law, well when I tried this smaller compact with suction cup. Great, all you have to do is run the knife from front to back each time , light pressure, about ten times, then the ceramic (white) for the same.
