Cheap plastic under a metal veneer, AVOID!!

This grinder uses two plastic gears to drive the blades. It took 2 months for that plastic to fail and now the motor turns but the blade does not.
Absolute garbage. Buy the cheap one, this product is poorly made.

Broke after 9 months

I got this as a gift at the end of May. 9 months later, and it's dead. The plastic where it clips into the motor wore down, so it no longer grips the cup, and it just spins and does not grind the beans. I cannot return or use the warranty because I do not have the receipt. Now it will just be thrown out. What a waste.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Worth the money!

Although this cost more than some of the other coffee grinders, it’s worth the money! The grind is fast and powerful. And the grinder has a substantial feel to it. I suspect it will last a lot longer than the cheap one I had previously. Also I love the Paderno brand. Nice to buy from a quality Canadian company
