Questions
Q: I own a 2013 Genesis 3.8 V6 sedan. I've tried to boost my car from the hood in the negative and battery terminal-did not work. Battery is located in the trunk-cant access. Is this device must be connected to the actual battery terminals? Pls Help
5 years agoA: You can connect the GB20 to the remote posts under the hood for a jump start. If the battery is very low, you may need Manual Override for the jump.

Q: How long will this unit hold its charge if kept in the car? Are the ranges very different in summer when car heats up to 30C or winter when it is -15C?
6 years agoA: Assuming typical temperatures in Canada, the jump starter will maintain about 80% of its charge over the course of a year. Storing in cold temperature will not affect this; storing in hot temperatures will accelerate self-discharge but temperatures in your vehicle would never be constantly -15C or +30C over the course of a year.

Q: At which %% of charge left should I re-charge the unit?
6 years agoA: Hello Peter There is no set % with a lithium ion battery as they do not develop memory. We start if you do not use the units charge it once per year. It also does not hurt to leave it plugged in all the time if practical. Otherwise, 50% is a good point to bring it back to 100%. Thank you,

Q: Can i charge this product in my apartment and take it with me and use it to charge my 72v 20-30ah lead acid battery on my ebike if not can you suggest something in the $200 range
7 years agoA: Hello The GB20 is designed is designed to assist in starting a 12V battery for an engine. it will not do anything for 72V or put any capacity back into a 20Ah battery. Thank you

8 years agoA: Even from complete discharge the GB20 should charge up in 3/4 hours using a 2 amp USB port.

Q: What type of battery this unit has? https://no.co/gb20) stated the battery type is "12 Volt Lead-Acid Batteries" AND 'Internal 24 Watt-Hour Lithium-Ion', I am confused. 1-So what type of battery(ies) is inside this unit, Lead-Acid or Li-Ion? 2-What's the Amp capacity it HOLDS?
9 years agoA: Those two statements are referring to different things: 1) the unit has an internal lithium ion battery, 2) the unit can be used to jump start 12V lead acid batteries only. The lithium ion battery is a 24 Watt Hour battery pack.
