Terrible charger don't buy. It kicks out for no reason at all wont jump a vehicle that has no battery or a dead battery, no voltage reading or amperage reading so no way to tell what the state of tour battery is ......terrible

I bought this charger a long time ago and do not have the receipt any more but should have taken it back long ago as it has never worked. This is the second Motomaster charger that I’ve purchased and neither of them worked. I think Motomaster should get out of the battery charger business.

To much useless technology.

It has so many prohibitive safety features. Along with a so called smart charge feature, which all make the charger very unreliable. You never know if it's actually charging. In addition the 200 amps setting is actually a 200 amps. The engineers that built this thing should not be employed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: When the battery is charging, the Charging LED (icon of battery with lightning bolt) will be illuminated yellow. When the battery is fully charged, the Charged/Maintaining LED (icon of battery with full bars) will be illuminated green.

Q: Is it normal that this charger produces a very loud buzzing sound (like an arc welder) as soon as you plug it in, and this sound continues as long as it is plugged in?

A: The transformer inside the charger has the 120 volt line voltage present when plugged into the wall outlet. The lamination of the transformer and the cooling fan are making noise and will not affect the charging process. Please contact us at 800 528-6817 for further troubleshooting assistance.

A: You cannot use the 200 engine start mode for 15 minutes. The engine start mode is only available for few seconds.

Q: I have 6x - 6v batteries in my golf cart. Can I use this to charge all 6 at the same time? Or only a pair of 6v at a time? Will it charge one 6v battery?

A: This unit will not work for 6x - 6v batteries in a golf cart at the same time. This is a 12V battery charger, so you can only charge tow batteries in series at the time.

Q: Bought a classic series battery charger 011-1977-4. States that this model has a desulfation mode for batteries. How do you know when the charger enters this mode when you are charging a battery.

A: If the charger detects a sulfated battery, it will automatically switch to a special mode of operation designed for such batteries. Normal charging will resume after the battery is desulfated. Desulfation could take up to 10 hours. If desulfation fails, charging will abort and the red LED will blink.

A: This a 12V battery charger. It cannot be used on a 6V battery, however, it can be used to charge two of your 6V deep cycle batteries connected in series (to form a 12V bank).
