I would NOT buy this product, again

My second Meile purchase. This canister is bulky and poorly designed. The attachments sit on top of the canister hooked to the hose. They get in the way of the hose when vacuuming. When vacuuming the attachments get tangled in the actual hose! What a horrible design. The rug attachment is very heavy, overly large. I give this 3 stars for suction, nothing else. Wish I could return and choose another canister.

This is my second c1 . I wanted a spare for upstairs and it was on sale. Best suction of any vac I have ever had. Lightweight, spins , easy to store. Minor grievance is cord length and the shiny finish scuffs easy. The product is of higher quality than others I’ve had.

The vacuum power is owerhelming. The powerhead with spining brushes is incredibly well working.

I LOVE this vacuum! We have all hardwood floors and no pets but I shed a lot of hair (ha!). It has great suction, cleans wonderfully, the cord is long enough for everywhere I need to go, and the sound doesn’t bother me. I like the attachments too. The only minor thing is that I like to vacuum with the arm as extended as possible and sometimes as I’m going it starts to shorten up on its own. I’m not sure if that happens to everyone or if it’s just my vacuum but it’s not a big deal, I just re-extend it every now and then!

A: Good afternoon, Any Miele vacuum can become anti-allergen by replacing the AirClean filter (Active AirClean filter in this model) with a HEPA filter. We offer 3 choices for AirClean filters, which provides consumers with the flexibility to install a filter that best suits their needs and requirements. Unfortunately, Canadian Tire doesn’t sell HEPA filters, but customers can purchase a HEPA filter on miele.ca. Miele Team

Q: Is this vacuum good at picking up dog and cat hair without clogging? My Dyson upright does a terrible job and clogs up all the time.

A: Yes, the Miele Classic C1 Cat & Dog canister vacuum is designed for homes with pets. The powerhead effectively picks up pet hair from hair from low-medium pile carpet and hard floors. This model also comes with an Active AirClean exhaust filter that includes charcoal to filter pet odors. If long hairs get wrapped around the roller bar inside the powerhead, there are score lines on the roller bar to facilitate cutting the hair with a knife to free it from the roller bar. The roller bar can also be completely removed from the powerhead for more thorough cleaning, if required.
