Tighter Tolerances

I have to exchange my vice but while I'm there I'm going to open up about four or five boxes and only exchange it for the one with the tightest tolerances and if they say
"No, you can't do that." then I'll return it and that's when they'll stick me with a gift card. Then I'll buy four or five more vices and get to use my gift card then take them home and only keep the one with the tightest tolerances and return the rest and that's when they'll stick me with another gift card but either way in the end I ain't going to be the one who suffers with the same "sloppy" vice that someone else had previously returned for being too "sloppy" and who now also has a gift card.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: No real restrictions. Can even use lag screws if bench is really thick, say the depth of a 2x4 on its side.

A: Yes, but you could glue on some thin rubber or foam instead.

A: Please use 4pc M5 screws to affix the wood pieces to the jaws. There are 4 holes on the two pieces of the jaws.

Q: This vice appears to have a handle for some feature on the bottom. Is it for mounting or is it a rotation adjustment?

A: The rod on the bottom is used to fix the vise on the table, so it is for mounting.

Q: 7" woodworking vise #57-9008-6 i am about to mount this purchase on my new bench but there was no manual enclosed. how do i get one?

A: These units aren't shipped with an instructional manual. To affix it, it's totally dependant upon the type of material, type of workbench and what you are using it for. A heavy-duty fastener (nut and bolt) and some locktite will do the trick.
