The Mastercraft Easy Install Track Panels provide a customizable storage solution that allows you to reduce the clutter in your home, garage, or other workspace. This set of versatile wall panels can be used to store tools, sporting equipment, extension cords, snow shovels, and more. These Mastercraft track panels are durable, rust-resistant, and easy to clean, so you can set them up without having to worry about future maintenance. The slat wall panels can support a total weight capacity of 75 lb (34 kg) per linear foot, so you can load them up with smaller items or with fewer, larger ones. I bought this because I needed a small amount of slat wall to hang some guitars. The instructions state that you can install it as a 4' x 4' panel or as a 2' x 8' panel. Well 4 x 4 requires 16 feet of trim whereas 2 x 8 requires 20 ft of trim and in the box you only get three 4 ft pieces of the ' J ' trim for bottom and sides and one 4 ft piece of the ' L ' trim which is meant to cap the top, half as much as you need. Instructions also reference the need for ' H ' trim to be used when you build the 2' x 8' panel yet there is no such trim in the box . Overall it's flimsy and leaves me a little concerned about whether it's going to hold up. I wouldn't recommend this product .

The package instructions show how to connect 2x kits together to make one long wall but the T moulding shown to cover them is not included in the kits.

Don’t waste your money

They’re selling all sorts of track panels and track panel accessories many of which do not even go together. Do your self a favour and save yourself the frustration of installing it only to find out all the accessories you bought don’t fit it, go to Rona or Lowe’s and buy something else.

last run product. get accessories first

purchased this as it was a good price point. the image on the box was different than what was in the box. and finding accessories is difficult after it was mounted. it was pretty easy to mount and only took about 15 min after I penciled the stud locations. it looks good too but more trim pieces would make it look better. I was concerned that this was going to be an inexpensive system with expensive accessories and I was right. I would hope canadian tire would keep this system around or ensure future track systems are compatible for accessories. it's ok for the price point and looks not bad.

A: I bought the wall and can confirm that it does in fact accept the ProSlat attachments. This wall appears to actually be a ProSlat wall re-branded as MasterCraft.

Q: Can this be installed directly into brick or cement block?

A: You cannot install this product directly onto your brick/ cement block. If your walls are made of concrete or blocks, you will need to fasten 2 x 3 in. studs or furring strips vertically at 16 in. using a cement screw and then install your panels to the studs. You will need to use 1-½’’ #8 pan head screws instead of the supplied screws.

Q: I have standard slatwall shelf brackets and hooks already. If I buy these panels, will my hooks and brackets fit in?

A: Some hooks may work with the Easy Install Track Panels. Standard slatwall hooks will. The panels are 4-3/4" center, so if there's a locking system on the hooks you would like to use, make sure that it is 4-3/4 from the lip that clips into the panel and the locking system.

Q: For different configurations can you buy trim peices seperately?

A: Unfortunately we do not sell the individual trim pieces through Canadian tire. However depending on what kind of configuration you are looking for, you can use SKU #046-8705 instead (for $20 more you have 10 hooks and more trim pieces). This SKU bundle allows you to install your easy install track panels in two different ways. You can install in either a 4' x 4' section or 8' x 2' high. The bundle even includes a trim for the middle of the two sections, hopefully this can resolve the issue for needing more trims.

Q: Can i join pieces hoziontally further then 96 inches?

A: Yes you can "join" our easy install track panel system longer than 96" horizontally. You would simply install 2 J channels/trims (included in the box) back to back/ next to each other. Which would create "two sections" in one, making your wall 192" long horizontally.

A: Yes, these can be mounted either to a finished or unfinished garage. If you plan to cover a large area, we recommend considering the 8 foot panels (the box of panels covers 8’ x 4’). The product number is 068-6449.
