Table issue

This is the only plunge router I've owned, so maybe this is normal. When its mounted upside down on the table, the router goes down fine but binds going up. I have to lift the router from the bottom as I raise it. Otherwise, it works great. I use it make shaker-style cabinet doors so some pretty big bits and it has enough power.

I bought this fancy router for light duty work because it cost the same price as the regular router when it was on sale. It is much more than I need and took some time to figure it out. However, think that a person that knows their way around a plunge router and has a strong grip can definitely benefit from this tool. It get's the little jobs done, I can't imagine there would be anything that it would not do.

Q: Will this router atached to the Mastercraft Custom Router Table I would like to buy this router, and the Mastercraft Custom Router Table Product #54-6841-4, but not sure if the router will attach to this table. Will it mount to the table? Thank you

A: Not only is this router compatible with the custom table, the table is actually built with this router in mind. The router has an 'above table adjustment' which means you can fine-tune the height adjustment with the provided tool. The custom router table has the access hole perfectly lined up for this procedure. So, you while you do have to un-lock the router from below, you can raise/lower the cutter with very fine precision. I doubt any other router on the market would fit this particularly handy feature as perfect! You'd think C.T. would broadcast this very valuable feature here loud & wide, but I found this out all by myself from relentless research. I have both and it works great!

A: Hello, this Mastercraft product is guaranteed for a period of 3 years from the date of original retail purchase against defects in workmanship and materials, except for the following components: a) Component A: Batteries, chargers and carrying case, which are guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of original retail purchase against defects in workmanship and materials; b) Component B: Accessories, which are guaranteed for a period of 1-year from the date of original retail purchase against defects in workmanship and materials. Subject to certain conditions and limitations, this product, if returned to us with proof of purchase within the stated warranty period and if covered under this warranty, will be repaired or replaced (with the same model, or one of equal value or specification), at our option.

Q: Can I order a second addition plunge base? I would like to keep one base attached in my router table, and have an additional plunge base that I can just swap over the motor part so that I can use it for handheld routing, without having to unscrew a base from the table each time.
