Super fun

This was a lot of fun. Each day we got a different build, consisting of different amounts of pieces and difficulty (for a 4 year old). Only thing was we got one that was a repeat of the exact same mini-build which was a little disappointing since the one that was missing was one my son was looking forward to getting (a showman). Other than this, the calendar was great.

Repetitive

This year’s City Advent Calendar is seriously repetitive of other years. We were especially disappointed by the final day, opening the SAME Santa as last year (if not the year before, etc). Also a distinct lack of minifigures and the snowman just seems to be a mishmash of random parts, without even a proper head. Even with the 30% discount as we purchased this after Dec 1st, it seems a let down. The 2-part sleigh and Mrs Santa were the only real reasons we bought it this year and a couple of the days’ builds (like the grandfather clock and ice sculpture) do seem worth it, and we really like the ice hockey player figure too, but that’s about it. In short, LEGO seriously need to switch things up next time around!
