I bought 4 of these for my new house and another 3 for my moms house after getting them put in we save money and were pleased at the time..Couple months after i took one off due to the fact that i was painting the wall so i took it off,after taking it off noticed that the were black inside and some plastic was melted so checked the others and all the same.Now i called Honeywell company and they were not kind at all and told me was just my wiring in my house so they got me thinking and so i went to check my moms and they are the same thing..I was wanted to get another model or something safer but the guy i spoke too was rude and hung up on me so 2 thumbs down and im very disappointed

Nice thermostat but temp is wrong

Great thermostats, easy to program, but the temperature reading is wrong. If i set my thermostat to 18 degrees, the real room temp will go up to 20 degrees. I bought a 5 pack of these thermostats and they are all the same. I just set my thermostat 2 degrees lower than what i want and that solves the problem.

Pratique et esthétique

Malgré le fait qu'il soit un peu gros (donc à éviter dans une salle de bain!), ce thermostat est aussi esthétique que pratique. Difficile à installer pour "monsieur madame tout le monde", mais très facile à utiliser. Plus haut, on appuie sur une flèche; plus bas, même chose. Affiche la température soit en degrés F ou en C, selon ce qui est le mieux pour nous. L'écran s'allume quand on appuie sur les boutons. S'il était programmable, ce serait le thermostat parfait! Affiche un dessin de flamme quand le calorifère chauffe (plus il y a de flammes, plus il chauffe).

A: Hi Bill! Thanks for reaching out to us. The Honeywell Digital Line volt Thermostat is not equipped with a backup battery. It has a non-volatile memory that stores the temperature setpoint if there is a power outage. Hope this helps! - Jerry
