Q: Can I use this to piant over chrome plated metal if I give the chrome a light sand?

A: Technically speaking yes. However for best results I would revove all the plating then use Duplicolor Self Etching primer the use the sealer

Q: Can I use this product on top of DUPLI-COLOR® RUST FIX® RUST TREATMENT ? My car hood was rusted, and rust fix saved me alot of work here. Thanks

Q: Is this a lacquer base? Can I apply a 2K urethane base coat over this?

A: We do not offer any 2k urethane coatings in our product line so we do not have any factual information stating that our primer can be used under these types of paints. The only thing we can recommend is that you test on a piece of scrap material at your own discretion.
