    Overly complex menus, range tanks after you leave line of sight and cheap plastic construction. Stopped working about 1km from other unit in urban environment, quality of transmission even when it did work was hard to understand. Don’t waste your money on this overpriced toy.

    Like others, I found the battery compartment impossible to open. Returned the item. The salesclerk couldn't open it either. Wasn't able to insert the battery to try it out.

    Cobra floating 2 way radio with rechargeable batteries.

    Very well made floating radio. The voices can be clearly heard with this radio. The batteries last a long time because they have a standby mode which conserves power. The batteries are rechargeable. The radio is rugged. We used it to talk from the boat on the water to a trailer on land about 4 kilometres. Very happy with this purchase. We also used it in a kayak on the lake to talk to a person in a vehicle on land.
