Bike is good; Assembly not so much.

The bike itself is of good quality. However, I would consider taking it to a proper bike mechanic for a rebuild after purchase. Usual problems when purchasing a bike in Canadian Tire - Brakes and gear shifters are usually not aligned properly. I sent this bike in to get gear shifters adjusted twice after purchase, and was still not working properly. And then usually after a few months of riding, the bottom bracket and crank arm came loose. Purchase the bike when it goes on sale for at least 40% off, and expect to spend approx $100 extra after purchase within a few months on tune ups and repairs (caused by improper assembly).

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Great Deal!

I love this bicycle, absolutely love this bicycle. As an entry level cyclist the CCM 700 Presto is more than I can ask for. Lightweight, fast and good-looking. The only con that I may mention is that the petals feel flimsy. This is something I will be changing in the near future. I also changed the seat..(Personal preference) other than that, this bicycle is made well, gets attention everywhere I go. I bought this bicycle when it was on special so keep you’re an eye out for a great deal and take advantage!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good Experience after 3,500km

I bought this bike intending for it to be a "cheap" introduction to road cycling, and I presumed I would buy a "proper" road bike after a few months, and only after determining that this was something I would commit the time to that would warrant spending more money. After having ridden my "temporary" Presto regularly for 3 years now, I have been pleasantly surprised by my experience. I have put about 3,500 km on it so far and haven't even had a flat tire, and I have only done minor regular maintenance like regular drive chain clean and lube. I take the stock Presto often on long rides of 100km or so per day for several days straight. I imagine when I finally do buy a "proper" road bike, the Presto's shortcomings will become apparent to me, but considering that this is an inexpensive bike, I have had an extremely positive experience, to the point that I'm now considering maybe just upgrading the components on the bike rather than replacing it. As many of the other reviewers have noted, this bike frequently goes on sale at a significant discount, so be sure to wait until that happens before buying.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    • A: There's a black cap you have to remove on the to of the ftont post, where the pice atat connects it to handlebars is. Remove the cap, and there's a hex screw that you can losen to raise the handlebars by maybe an inch or two.
