Horrible Design

This seems like a good idea - a doorbell switch that is not plastic. But unlike the description, it is NOT flush mount. The instructions are hidden inside the package, but reveal that you need to drill a 5/8" hole in the door frame. It says 3/4" deep, but even 1 and 1/4 " was not deep enough for the wiring to clear. It might work if you already have a large hole in the location you want it mounted, and your wires are more flexible than standard ones. The "button" part is loose in the backing plate, and the screw terminals are small and on a floating plate, which makes them very difficult use. It is poorly designed and poorly made. Save yourself the aggravation (and damage to your doorframe) - buy something else!
