Doesn't live up to Blizzak reputation

Ran 255/40-19. These tires don't last, even with a summer tire swap, only got one season plus a little of the next before they're shot. Very disappointed in the life and wear. I've ran WS80's and WS90's on my other cars for almost a decade now and typically get 4 seasons with a summer tire swap, maybe I was expecting too much from these LM005's. Traction and braking is mediocre In all conditions, deeper snow is where they struggle more. Overall better traction than an all season tire but leaves more to be desired when compared to other Blizzaks. Overall very disappointed with this tire and will never purchase again and do not recommend. I'll likely be going to an undersized tire to get a WS90 or DM-V2 or a different brand all together.

    Poor handling in rain

Live in Central Texas and get few rainy days. However the ties are below average in rain. The OEM Continental s where a lot better in rain.

    Hard as a rock

I had no idea what I was getting myself into....quiet? Maybe/somewhat...but I am hearing "thud" sounds in my newer X3 that will soon turn into rattles! Going over speed bumps all so slowly, and, they feel like they are solid rubber tires from radio flyer. My only resolve is switching them out due to the 30 day exchange policy at America's Tire. Thank God. And no, they are inflated to 35 lbs.

This review is first impressions comparing a summer performance tire to a winter performance tire at above freezing fall temperatures in both dry and wet. A bit noisier and less grip than the summer tires, as expected. Fairly quiet for a winter tire. Wet grip is good. Sidewalls are almost as firm as summer tires and handling is VERY good. The summer tires grip better, but give way suddenly. These tires have a super controllable limit. Assuming the winter grip will good, this tire is an excellent choice.
